I realized, for some odd and unknown reason, I had not ever covered the death of Barrett, so, I thought I would pay my respects now. Better late than never, eh?
What I do remember is back then I was going to BJ to sing, and when I found out, that following Wednesday (it was a Friday he died), I sang all Barrett related songs, including "See Emily Play".

Syd Barrett (born Roger Keith Barrett; 6 January 1946 - 7 July 2006) was an English singer, songwriter, guitarist and artist. He is most remembered as a founding member of British psychedelic rock band Pink Floyd, providing major musical and stylistic direction in their early work, although he left the group in 1968 amidst speculations of mental illness exacerbated by heavy drug use.
