I don't think ANYONE has that kind of pull with Madd :p

Hmmm...didn't think of it that way. You're probably right about that as well. Time will tell :)

I know Scott will be that way when we have kids!

I'm not sure Dave would be that way, but I'll never find out because we aren't having kids.

sewcute wrote:ok I gave Madd his Quilt in Cedar Falls. He was on a road trip with Gretchen and D. I gave it to him there. Gretchen would have driven back with him to Des Moines. She probably helped him unpack his stuff and put it into his apt.

As far as the one you made him, he IS Madd, you need to remind him CONSTANTLY to get things done. I am sure if you reminded him EVERY day for a bit he would take it home. He needs that sometimes, he probably has meant to but just forgot.
No, actually I took it home. I do not require that type of consistancy, some times just a reminder will do.

Mair wrote:I hear what you are saying. Fortunately, even when Madd is not on the board, I sit right by him at work so I get plenty of Madd.
Plenty? I think you mean not enough!

sewcute wrote:ah, well I don't normally get to talk to him. I try to im him on aim (to his phone) but don't get much of a response, and emails are not the best way to talk to him :p
Actually, the AIM thing of late is because I switched the BT keyboard over to my microcomputer, so my phone no longer has easy access as it use to. when I get things installed on the computer, I should be able to have the two linked together, so the microcomputer and phone are as one, like it use to be, back in the day before management hounded on laptop computer usage and the like.

Mair wrote:As much as this hurts me to admit...I don't have a lot of pull with Madd. I mean...I like to take credit for his shaving his mountain man beard, but he wouldn't have done it plain and simple if he didn't want to.

NOT implying he doesn't want to talk to you. I'm just saying... *gulp* that I really have VERY little if any influence on him. (Except my stubborn-ness makes him laugh and gives him headaches often)

But I'll still see what I can do.
You had no say what-so-ever with the beard shaving. I stated (to myself) I wanted pictures of my great long venture in non-shaving, and I finally had taken the pictures, and here you see me now... a bald and broken man.

sewcute wrote:I don't think ANYONE has that kind of pull with Madd :p
Yeah, including Madd :p

sewcute wrote:although I bet one little boy will ;)
Yeah, he cheats...

Or so you say this week

I'm sure this will be completely botched because I did a lot of my own editing with quoting you. But I did in fact say that you wouldn't have shaved the mountain man beard if you didn't want to even though I wanted to take credit for it. So thanks for telling me that I had no say what-so-ever with the beard shaving even though I OBVIOUSLY already knew that.

I guess you weren't reading very carefully, were you?
I WILL forgive you. But not right at this minute.

Why did you decide not to have kids?

So many reasons. We just think it's best for us if we don't.

at least it was mutual. It could have caused a lot of issues if it hadn't been.

It hasn't always been mutual but when it wasn't I wasn't ready at the time anyway, so it hasn't caused any problems. And Dave always humored me when I said "When we have kids...."
My parents are VERY upset because they just realized last week that I was serious when I told them they aren't getting grandkids from me. I feel a little bad for them, but I can't have kids just to make them happy. (not only can't I but I won't)
